Peggy Bailey

Harp in the  Community

 

Peggy Bailey has been a certified and trained hospice volunteer in Athens, Georgia, since 2007, serving with:

• Saint Mary's Hospice (since 2007)

• SouthernCare Hospice (since 2012)

As part of her volunteer ministry, Peggy has provided harp music for hospice patients and their families, both in hospice facilities and in patients' homes.

Peggy also plays regularly at the University Cancer and Blood Center and has shared harp music throughout the Athens community in a variety of settings, including:

• Private luncheons and retirement dinners

• Mercy Health Center

• Arbor Terrace of Athens Assisted Living and Memory Care

• Highland Hills Senior Living and Memory Care

• Iris Place

• Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center

• Saint Mary's Hospital

• Alps Road Presbyterian Church, where she is a covenant partner

• Private memorial services and funerals

Peggy believes that the harp's unique and gentle sound can bring comfort, peace, and beauty during both joyful celebrations and times of healing and remembrance.
